Technology
Welcome To JCS Technology
Jacksonville City Schools is a tech-savvy school district where achievement and innovation are common. Our two schools maintain a wireless and wired LAN and are connected via a one GB WAN. Our teachers utilize their presentation computers, mounted data projectors, and digital document cameras, daily to provide an effective education for every one of our students.
Students work collaboratively and individually using iPads, Chromebooks and desktop computers at Kitty Stone Elementary School. Jacksonville High School students use Chromebooks, and desktop computers to engage in real-world experiences and solve problems in our rigorous learning environment. Jacksonville City Schools takes pride in the education we are able to provide the students in our city.
Technology in Jacksonville City Schools is not just used for instruction. From our lights to our air conditioning controllers, from accounting to technology support, every department in our school system uses technology to work more effectively and efficiently.
